TRAFIC SIGNAL If you have problems with transmission of a trafic signal, please check your software version and if the software version is older than 14.06.05 contact Futronic for an updated version. DISTRESS SIGNAL TO ICOM M601 If you have problems with transmission of a distress signal to ICOM M601 please check your software version and if the software version is older than 9.08.04 contact Futronic for an updated version. In order to deliver a replacement EPROM we need information on serial number and current software version (shown on display at power up).

CUSTOM MESSAGE Software versions 4.09.03 or later enables the testbox user to prepare a custom made signal on a PC and then download that signal to the testbox for later transmission, check the manual for more information and download TB_PC26042010.zip to get the PC software.

AIS SIMULATE SHIP MODE As we have improved this mode you can request a new EPROM if you are having trouble using this mode. In order to deliver a replacement EPROM we need information on serial number and current software version (shown on display at power up).

PRINT OUT We have made a new slower printout mode enabling more parallel printer types to be used, software versions 09.11.04 or later have this mode. If your software is older and if you want to use this print mode contact Futronic for an updated version. In order to use a parallel printer you need a serial to parallel converter (SP100 or similar) set to 2400 Baud, 8 data bit, no parity and XON/XOFF handshake.

AIS UPGRADE All testboxes, except hardware/software versions 12.5.95 or older, can now be upgraded to perform functional testing of AIS transponders. The prepaid price of upgrade is 1600 EUR and that price includes calibration, AIS-upgrade and return of the testbox. As the upgrade requires extra hardware it is necessary that the testbox are shipped to Futronic for upgrade.

CALIBRATION Calibration and a general "check-up": 300 EUR + 100 EUR for P&P return (by DHL). Use a courier, if possible, when you ship the testbox to FUTRONIC and state "CALIBRATION - RETURN TO SENDER" on the proforma invoice.

NAVTEX/GPIRB UPGRADE Hardware versions B to G i.e. software after version 12.5.95: 100 EUR (for new EPROM w.update, requires info on current software version and also the testbox serial number).

The first generation testboxes (software versions 12.5.95 or older) can also be upgraded but requires some extra hardware, upgrade cost is 300 EUR + 100 EUR for return.

NEW PLB EPIRB's In order to test the new PLB EPIRB's operating on 406.037 MHz you need a software upgrade, the cost of that is 75 EUR.

NEW EPIRB's (GPIRB's) WITH GPS/LONG MESSAGE The old software will not decode the MMSI Number correctly, As the data bit 26-85 are received correctly you can use software from Cospas-Sarsat Secretariat to decode the MMSI number, or you can order a software upgrade at 75 EUR.

INCREASED OUTPUT ON NAVTEX/2187.5 KHz If you have trouble getting the Navtex signal "through" you can order our external RF amplifier, price 150 EUR. 1000HZ AF GENERATOR Extra generators (for deviation measurements and frequency measurements) can be delivered at the cost of 150 EUR each.
